I was born in Brescia, Italy. During my childhood I used to spend hours drawing characters of my imagination and men of the past, like those nineteenth century gentlemen with mustaches and tails. After my Bachelor of Arts I walked El Camino de Santiago de Compostela (The Way of St. James), a 790 km pilgrimage across Spain where I became aware of my strength and my sense of adaptability. New year, new life: I decided to attend the Academy of Fine Arts in Genoa where I received a Master of Arts, writing my thesis in Munich, Germany, where I have lived for four months.
After college, I started working as freelance graphic designer and illustrator for international clients and participated in international contests. For three years I have worked as graphic/web designer in an Italian company where I gained experience in corporate identity, web design and social media marketing. I have been the official illustrator of Ricci Scout a children’s book series published by one of the major Italian publishing houses, Adriano Salani Editore.
In the 2016 I decided to spend few months in Australia to have a new life experience: living in Sydney allowed me to broaden my horizons and to try a new life style.
My greatest influences are Albert Dorne, Norman Rockwell, J. P. Miller and the illustration style from the 1940s through to the 60s. I pick graphical elements from past styles (composition, color palette, light and shade) creating modern designs with retro-features.
